TAP Virtual is a virtual airline that emulates and is recognized by TAP Portugal. Therefore TAP Virtual sustains the responsibility of driving their operations in an extremely professional and educational way.

To accomplish these objectives, the candidates to pilots should follow the following minimum criteria:

Chapter I - Basic rules

1. Candidate must be at least 16 years old.
2. Candidate must have Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 or Microsoft Flight Simulator X or P3D or Xplane 11 or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
3. Candidate must present his/her real identity. Any types of nicknames won't be allowed.
4. The suitable email cannot be of the type Hotmail, MSN, or Yahoo. Email of the type POP3 is obligatory for the admission, for safety and technical reasons.
5. Candidate should understand, that as pilot of TAP Virtual, it is waited of his/her part, professionalism inside the company, above all when flying on-line.
6. The Operations Manual of the Company is to be strictly followed.
7. Members of other virtual airlines that emulate TAP Portugal won't be accepted.
8. The flights can be on-line in any network (VATSIM / IVAO), or off-line. However, the online flight possesses advantages for the progression in the pilot career, like described in the Operations Manual of the Company.

Candidates should understand that TAP Virtual expects their members to honor and follow with the company's rules and policies described in the Operations Manual.

Chapter II - Admission application

1. The Admission application for pilots begins with the completion of the respective form.
2. The Admission application are conditioned to the existent vacancies in the company.
3. All the applications will suffer a verification, and evaluation theoretical and practical.
4. Candidates who conclude the theoretical exam with less than 65% are exclude from the admission process.
5. After reaching at least 65% in the theoretical exam, candidates will be evaluated in a simulator session, appointed by the fleet Chief.
6. Candidates can only access one (and only one) time to the theoretical exam and one (and only one) time to the practical exam, although they can do multiple registrations, otherwise the application will be rejected.
7. Candidates that don't obtain the minimum evaluation can run again on the next admission opening.

Chapter III - Members

1. The candidate who is accepted will be put in the respective fleet as 1st officer.
2. The promotions and qualifications are managed by the criteria described in the Operations Manual of the Company.
3. If the pilot needs a training session, he can ask for one to the fleet chief. Fleet chief will appoint an instructor for the session, or supervise it himself.
4. If the pilot is not familiarized with the ATC phraseology and/or procedures in English, don't try on-line flights or international flights.

Chapter IV - Privacy and Confidentiality

1. All the available information to the pilots and/or candidates in FOS (Flight Operations System), is property of TAP Virtual and for exclusive use of TAP Virtual's pilots in simulation environment. As such, improper use won't be allowed, which is punishable with expulsion of the Company and subsequent juridical evaluation if justified.
2. Candidates are advised that if they give, in the admission application, false information, candidates will be excluded immediately of the admission process or company and he will not be able to run for pilot again.

Candidates who have successfully completed both exams, will subsequently send via email, to the department of human resources, a scanned document or card proving the name, age and photo.
